    Firewall Service is by default enabled in RHEL7. In General you should know how to work with the Firewall Service. However there are certain requirements or on testing servers we prefer to keep that off. Let see how to do that.

    How to Enable the firewall Service?
    [root@Server1 ~]# systemctl enable firewalld.service
    Lets start the the firewall Service?
    [root@Server1 ~]# systemctl start firewalld.service
    Lets STOP the firewall Service?
    [root@Server1 ~]# systemctl stop firewalld.service
    Disable the firewall Service?
    [root@Server1 ~]# systemctl disable firewalld.service
    Removed symlink /etc/systemd/system/basic.target.wants/firewalld.service.
    Removed symlink /etc/systemd/system/dbus-org.fedoraproject.FirewallD1.service.

    Netmeds [CPS] IN Now Check Status of the firewall Service.
    [root@Server1 ~]# systemctl status firewalld.service
    ● firewalld.service - firewalld - dynamic firewall daemon
       Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/firewalld.service; disabled; vendor preset: enabled)
       Active: inactive (dead)

    Jan 20 18:37:20 Server1 systemd[1]: Starting firewalld - dynamic firewall daemon...
    Jan 20 18:37:21 Server1 systemd[1]: Started firewalld - dynamic firewall daemon.
    Jan 20 19:20:57 Server1 systemd[1]: Stopping firewalld - dynamic firewall daemon...
    Jan 20 19:20:58 Server1 systemd[1]: Stopped firewalld - dynamic firewall daemon.
